This 2019 Act That Removes Religious Vaccine Exemptions in Maine Took Effect Sept. 2021

MAINE- SEPTEMBER 9TH– An act passed in 2019 is now in effect in Maine. The bill removed the religious and philosophical exemptions for immunization requirements. And took effect September of 2021.

An Act To Protect Maine Children and Students from Preventable Diseases by Repealing Certain Exemptions from the Laws Governing Immunization Requirements

Maine has also mandated that healthcare workers get the Covid vaccine by October 1st, 2021. Prompting several lawsuits.
