The Meaning of eth-

According to the Cepher Publishing Group, the word eth (את) is derived from the letters aleph and tav, which are the first and last letters of the Hebrew language. More commonly known as the alpha and omega.

Why is eth- important?

Eth, את, or alpha and omega; made over 10,000 appearances in the original holy texts, but was those removed without replacement. The eth-Cepher restores the את and brings us closer to the original meanings of the sacred texts.

The Meaning of Cepher

The word CEPHER (ספר) is the Hebrew word for scroll, book, or numbered writing.

The Meaning of et-Cepher

Combining the meanings of eth and Cepher, what does it mean? Well, the best source of information to turn for that answer, is the publishers themselves.

As the Cepher Publishing Group explains:

“Hence, the את CEPHER is a numbered writing from the first to the last, from the beginning to the end.”

What makes eth-Cepher Bible Unique?

Eth-Cepher Bible is unique in many ways. Eth-Cepher:

  • Transliterates the sacred names
  • Restores the Eth or את
  • Includes 87 inspired and historical books
  • Brings a closer understanding of the sacred texts

Transliterates the sacred names

The eth-Cepher transliterates the names of people and places which are part of the biblical texts.

Look, rather than including the modernized names of Jesus for example, we see the original pronunciation (and meaning) restored in the sacred name YESHUA HAMASHIA.

This is important because becoming familiar with the sacred names, and their meanings at the time, we get a better context about their true meanings.

The Lexicon: Names and Places serves as a reference to read deeper into the texts to see their origins.

The names of the Father

Rather than the names of the Father all being the cliche; Lord, God, or Father in Heaven.

Eth-Cepher Bible restores the sacred, original names. While at first learning these names can be intimidating…

I found that by taking the time to look into the words (and their meanings) which were originally used to name the Father in Heaven, I get a deeper look into what is being said.

Although the Hebrew texts of the Bible generally refer to the Father as YAHUAH, there are many variations of the name that bring a deeper meaning to the texts.

For example, here are some of the names that appear in eth-Cepher Bible, and their meanings as prescribed in the Lexicon;

Hebrew NameMeaning
YAHUAH TSEVA’OTHThe Lord of Hosts
YAHUAH AHAVAH SHALOMGod of love and Peace
YAHUAH, EL-YAHUAH,The Lord
YAHUAH ELOHAIThe Lord My God
YAHUAH ROPHE’KAThe God Who Heals You
YAHUAH YIREHThe Lord Who Provides

These names have been as they say, lost in translation. Eth-Cepher Bible restores these names and brings us one step closer to the original meaning of the texts.

Restores the Eth or את

One of the defining factors of eth-Cepher is the restoration of eth-, which is a Hebrew word which was included roughly 10,000 times in the original sacred texts, but has since been removed.

The 87 books of eth-Cepher Bible

Furthermore, eth-Cepher includes 87 inspired and sacred texts in chronological order.

These texts include the 66 canonized texts as well as many others including; Book of Chanok (Enoch the Great-Grandfather of Noah), Wisdom of Sirach, and Jubilees.

Brings a closer understanding of the sacred texts

This is personally, why I find eth-Cepher Bible to be so unique.

In my experience, reading through eth-Cepher brings a deeper view into the texts as they were written.

The simple act of learning the names, as they were pronounced before the invention of the letter J, brings me more in touch with the original story.

While at first I did need to use another (more modern) version of the Bible to read eth-Cepher Bible, this research brought more depth to the stories of the texts, and showed a clearer message.

Additionally, eth-Cepher Bible includes more than the canonized texts. Meaning that eth-Cepher goes above and beyond to include all of the texts that the people have a right to read, and does not limit their interpretation to their own standard of beliefs.

Rather the publishers leave it up to the reader, and their individual connection with the father.

Eth-Cepher Bible: In Short

In short, eth-Cepher Bible is a very unique Biblical translation.

In my opinion, this translation brings us closer to the original meanings of the sacred texts than do the King James Version, or NIV.

Most importantly, eth-Cepher Bible restores the sacred names of the Father, Messiah and the Prophets of the Bible. Which brings subtle truths forth, that other biblical translations simply do not tell.

Though it may be a bit more difficult to use at first, learning eth-Cepher Bible is a way to get more in touch with the roots of our ancestors, and more importantly, our Creator.
