December 21st, 2021- Alex Jones has sued the Select Committee to Investigate January 6th. As well as Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and others. Jones claims that the committee seeks to bypass constitutional safeguards using “coercive secret proceedings specifically designed to satiate a political witch hunt.”
In the 29-page complaint filed by Alex Jones, he seeks declaratory judgement that the Select Committee is not lawfully constituted. Further that they have violated the rules of the US House of Representatives. And that the subpoena against Jones and AT&T serve no valid legislative purposes. As well as injunctive relief.
Currently 100’s of people are awaiting trial over the charges they face from January 6th. Notably, the QAnon Shaman, Jacob Chansley who was sentenced to 41 months in prison. And recently Steve Bannon was charged with “contempt of Congress” for failing to appear upon subpoena.
