Supreme Court Overturns 108 Year Case Which Allowed NY to Restrict Who Could Carry a Concealed Handgun

June 23rd, 2022- WASHINGTON D.C.– The decision fell 6-3 in favor of overturning a 108 year gun law in New York which allowed the state to discriminate who could obtain a concealed carry permit.

In the majority Justice Clarence Thomas wrote plainly:

“The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not ‘a second-class right, subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees,'”
