Brooklyn Bridge Blocked By Protestors Against New York City’s Covid Vaccine Mandate for City Workers

OCTOBER 25TH, 2021- New York City, NY– Last week Mayor De Blasio based a vaccine mandate for city workers in New York City. In protest of these Covid vaccine mandates 100’s took to the streets in New York City, blocking the Brooklyn Bridge on the Manhattan bound side.

The mandate is set to take effect this Friday, October 29th at 5 P.M. And it will impact over 160,000 New York City workers. The bridge was blocked for about 2 hours before being cleared.

In related news, NYC’s largest police union filled a lawsuit in New York’s Supreme Court. The lawsuit seeks a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the city over the vaccine requirements. A similar TRO was granted to NY health care workers last month.
