ELIZABETH CITY, NC- 11 am- Today the NC State Bureau of Investigation announced it would not file criminal charges in the police involved death of Andrew Brown. Andrew Womble spoke at a press conference at the Pasquatank Count Sheriff’s Department announcing his findings of the SBI investigation.
According to his findings, the officers acted lawfully in the actions they took in the attempted arrest of Andrew Brown. He also showed most of the police body camera footage of the shooting to the public along with his announcement.
Protestors gathered outside the building as the announcement was made.
