Judge Blocks de Blasio’s Vaccine Mandate for New York City Employees

NEW ROK CITY, NY- December 8th, 2021— A New York Supreme Court Judge has stalled New York Cities vaccine mandate pending a hearing scheduled for December 14th.

On Monday, December 7th, de Blasio announced expansions to the city’s “Key to NYC”. Under the new mandate. Children as young as 5 would be required to get a Covid-19 vaccine to enter certain establishments. Minors would have been required to meet the requirements by December 27th.

Additionally, as many as 9,000 city workers such as NYPD officers are on leave for failing to meet the cities vaccine employment requirements.

Later in the day, Judge P. Nervo stayed the city’s vaccine mandate for city employees until a hearing scheduled next week.

The same day, a Federal Court in Georgia blocked Biden’s vaccine mandate for federal employees.
