Lawsuit Filled Against Vaccine Mandates Involving 2,000 Hawaiian 1st Responders

HAWAII- AUGUST 17th, 2021: Attorneys representing 2,000 first responders have filed a lawsuit against Hawaii’s vaccine mandate for state employees.

The initial lawsuit involved 1,200 first responders, but they were eventually joined by another 800 on Saturday. The attorneys which represent the union were hoping to stop the executive order before it took place on Monday August 16th. It is not clear at this time if they achieved their goal.

The emergency proclamation which was passed by the governors office on August 5th, mandates state and county employees get vaccinated or meet testing requirements.
