WASHINGTON- September 23rd, 2021– 100’s of first responders and state employees, join a lawsuit against the governors vaccine mandate. The plaintiffs are seeking a religious exemption in the state’s mandate. State workers currently have until October 18th to receive the Covid vaccine.
The original suit was filled against Governor Jay Inslee, September 10th, but many other state workers have since joined the complaint. For relief the plaintiffs are first seeking that the Court vacate the governors mandate entirely. And order it as unconstitutional.
However, if the Court should find that any portion of the mandate is legal. Then the state be required to allow a religious exemption contingent to the Washington Constitution.
